The Liebster Award

All of you who have ever started a blog will know that getting people to know about your blog and read you posts is all part of the hard work that goes into it. That is why both us 'newbies', and those well established in the blogger community, appreciate every single Reader. I was absolutely chuffed to find out that, not one, but two people have nominated me for the Liebster Award!

The Liebster award was established to help new bloggers (with under 200 followers) gain more recognition. Thank you to both Izzy from Daisy Chains in the rain and Jasmine from JasmineHardingMakeup for nominating Beauty Dupe! Both of their blogs are great so go check them out!

The rules are as follows -

1. Link the person who has nominated you
2. Answer the questions given by the person who nominated you
3. Nominate 11 other blogs
4. Create 11 questions for your nominees
5. Notify all nominees via social media

As two separate people nominated me I am going to answer half of each questions.

1. What is the one part of your makeup routine you couldn't leave the house without doing? 

Now normally I would say my eyebrows, but since having them HD'ed I have found they need little work in the mornings. So I'm going to go with bronzer. I'm a fair skinned gal and without bronzer I look a little like a ghost!

2. What piece of clothing would you say is a staple in a girls wardrobe? 

Black jeans. I'd go for black skinny jeans but I know they aren't everyone's taste or style. But black jeans are definitely a staple peice. They go with almost anything, you can dress them up or dress them down and they are my go to when I just don't know what to wear.

3. Coffee of tea? 

Tea every time! The only coffee I like is a mocha frappachino from Starbucks - yummy!

4. Cream of gel cleansers? 

I have very dry skin so I always opt for a cream cleanser over gel, however I have been loving oil based cleansers lately.

5. Contour or lip liner? 

Contour, contour, contour. I love a good old contoured makeup look.

6. Who is your favourite actor/actress, and what is your favourite film that they're in? 

I have the biggest girl crush on Racheal McAdams. I can only narrow it down to my top 3 films which are The Notebook, The Time Travelers Wife and It's about Time. If you haven't seen any of them then I highly recommend them all!

7. Name a blog that inspires you

The two blogs that really got me into makeup and beauty were Lily Pebbles and Vivianna does makeup. I love everything about both of them! Go check out their blogs of you haven't already, they are a great read - be warned though you may get addicted!

8. What's your favourite shade of lipstick?

I love a bright, bold, orange based red. Always my fall back when I can't decide on what to put on, and I just love the way it looks in pictures. I must admit though I am a sucker for a nice coral too.

9. What's your favourite highstreet store?

Topshop has to be my favourite, even though I do think it is over priced for highstreet I just can't help but want to buy everything whilst I'm in there. If I'm shopping online I will most likely go for Asos as it has a great mixture of brands to choose from.

10. Name a product you love that cost under £5

My MUA Makeup Acadamy undressed eye shadow palette (£4!) is one of my most used palette of all time. I find myself reaching for this over even my Urban Decay Naked Palettes!

11. What's your biggest pet peeve? 

Tapping! My fiancé is a drummer and when he hasn't played in a while his tap tap tapping gets out of hand and drives me crazy!
