4 week Ab Challenge

I am setting myself a challenge over the next 4 weeks in order to get my Abs in shape ready for the start of the summer. So I was thinking that maybe some of you guys may want to join me on my mission?

Styling Mom Jeans

Last Summer Mom Jeans made a big come back on the High Street and I for one loved the trend and still do. I quickly purchased myself not one but two pairs of River Island Mom Jeans in two different colours. I absolutely loved the way that they looked in the changing rooms but it wasn't until a few days later when I first attempted to wear them that I realised that they are rather difficult to style. I find it so frustrating when you love a trend but just can't get it to work for you. 

So after quite a bit of research (and some trial and error) I have established a few different ways to wear my Mom Jeans so I thought I would share some of them incase any of you find yourself in the same situation as me in the future!

I recently purchased a pair of loafers from Missguided and fell in love with how they could perfectly add a bit of sophistication to a casual outfit. This is something that we have both wanted to do since starting the blog, but living 4 hours apart and both having busy lives means that we don't get together as much as we would like. The setting for my wedding is in the beautiful Gunay's Garden in Turkey. The theme of my wedding consequently has become floaty, fresh and quite rightly excessively floral. This has lead me on the search for the perfect floral crowns for both my bridesmaids and I.

For those of you who have ever planned a Wedding you will understand the thoughts I was faced with when I first started planning mine. "Oh my that's expensive" comes to mind when I think back to my first Wedding exhibition experience. But do not fear, for those of us that do not have a never ending budget (myself included) there are ways of cutting these costs without having the compromise on quality.

Wedding Series: An Introduction

My fiancé (Doug) and I celebrated our 8 year Anniversary in October, and Christmas marked 3 years of engagement and now we are finally counting down to our wedding in September! I have decided to do a  wedding series so that I can share with you all my planning successes and no doubt stresses along the way. My Weight Loss Journey

I asked on Twitter not long ago if I should do a Health and Fitness series on the Blog, and the general consensus was that I should, starting with my weight Loss Journey. The first disclaimer is that I am no expert in fitness and nutrition, this is just simply my story and how I lost nearly 5 Stone since I started almost 6 years ago. My second disclaimer is that I am not about to inform you of some miracle weight loss trick, unfortunately to my knowledge this does not currently exist!

January Favourites 2014

 

The end of January marks the end of my first month of blogging. And oh what a month is has been! My aim at the start of it was to post every week on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and I am happy to say that I have stuck to this schedule and that I am proud of that work that I have produced. So my first January favourite is Beauty Dupe! Anyone who has every started a blog will know that there is a lot more work that goes into that you may have first thought, but if like me you love everything about blogging then all the hard work is worth every minute.

The Body Shop Haul

A few weeks ago I was invited to a friends house where she was hosting a Body Shop Party. It was a great evening where a Body Shop representative came along with lots of skin care and makeup goodies for us to all try out and if we wanted anything we could place an order. The added bonus was that on that evening we were given 30% off any products that weren't in the new line!

When I decided to write this post I had initially planned it to be ‘Top 5 Drug Store Lipsticks’. But as you can probably tell that didn’t happen. Being a self-confessed lipstick addict I could not narrow it down to just 5 lipsticks when there are so many favourites in my ever growing collection. So top 7 it is! I have picked these lipsticks for both formula and colour, however most of them I have in several shades all of which I love also. These are in no particular order of favourite, if like me you have a love affair with your lipsticks you will understand that putting these in that sort of order would be like putting your children in order of favourites! So without further ado let’s get to it.

Babyliss Curl Secret Review

 

So as far as hairstyling devices go, I've got them all. Straighteners, curling wand, heated rollers......the list goes on. I had seen a few reviews on the Curl Secret but wasn't really sure if it was something I was interested in. I'm not one for perfect ringlets that look as if they have been professionally put in place, I prefer the 'messy' look when it comes to curls. So I did not think the Curl Secret was something that I would work well with. This was until my hairdresser used it on me. The finish was exactly how I like my curls to look, and it was so quick and easy to do! This was the day I decided I needed the Babyliss Curl Secret in my life!
